Unblock

Unblock is a free online sliding-block puzzle: clear a path through a jam of cars and drive the red car out through the gap on the right. Cars only slide along their own lane, so freeing the way is a real logic challenge. Play free with no download and no sign-up, on phone or desktop.

How to play

• The board is packed with cars, one of them the red target car.
• Drag a car along its lane, or tap the car then tap the empty square to send it to.
• Horizontal cars slide left and right; vertical cars slide up and down only.
• Cars cannot turn or pass through one another, so you must clear blockers in order.
• Open a clear lane and slide the red car out through the exit on the right to win.
• Press U to undo a move or R to restart, and work through the numbered levels.

Work backwards from the red car: figure out exactly which cars sit between it and the exit, and free those first instead of shuffling pieces at random. Moving one car often means first shifting the car that blocks it, so trace the chain before you commit. Undo is free — when a level locks up, step back and look for the piece you moved too early.
