Pipes

Pipes is a free online plumbing puzzle where you rotate tiles to build one unbroken line from the source to the drain. Connected pipes light up as you go, so you can watch the flow spread across the board. Play free with no download and no sign-up, on phone or desktop.

How to play

• Each tile holds a pipe segment pointing in a fixed set of directions.
• Tap or click a tile to rotate its pipe 90° clockwise.
• Link a continuous run from the green source (Src) to the orange drain (Out).
• Pipes that are connected to the source light up so you can trace your progress.
• Choose a small or medium board to change the puzzle size.
• Connect the whole path in as few moves as possible to set a best score.

Start at the source and the drain and work inward: their pipes usually have only one sensible orientation, and each fixed tile constrains its neighbours. Watch the lit trail — it shows exactly how far the water has actually reached, which is often less than it looks. Edge and corner tiles have fewer legal rotations than tiles in the middle, so lock those down first to cut the number of moves you waste.
