Minesweeper is the timeless logic puzzle, free to play online in your browser with no download and no sign-up. Clear the grid without detonating a hidden mine, using the numbers you uncover to deduce where the mines are. Flag the dangers, race the clock, and beat your best time across Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert on phone or desktop.

How to play

• Choose a difficulty: Beginner, Intermediate, or Expert.
• Tap or left-click a cell to clear it — the first click is always safe.
• A number tells you how many mines touch that cell.
• Right-click on desktop, or long-press on touch, to flag a suspected mine.
• Click a revealed number with its flags all placed to clear the neighbours at once.
• Uncover every safe cell to win; hit a mine and it is game over.

Minesweeper is a game of logic, not luck: after the safe first click, look for numbers whose count already matches the covered cells around them, then flag or clear with confidence. A 1 touching a single unopened cell means that cell is a mine, and once you have flagged every mine a number needs, its other neighbours are all safe. Flag carefully rather than clicking on hunches — most losses come from rushing a guess you could have deduced.
