Lunar Lander is a free online physics game you can play in the browser. Fight gravity with careful bursts of thrust and set your fragile module down softly on a flat landing pad before the fuel runs out. No download, no sign-up, and it plays on phone or desktop.

How to play

• Fire the main engine with ↑ or the space bar to slow your descent.
• Rotate the module left and right with the ← and → keys.
• Watch the on-screen readouts for horizontal speed, vertical speed, and tilt.
• Touch down on a flat green pad — slowly, and nearly upright — to land safely.
• Every burn drains fuel, so use short, measured taps rather than a long hold.
• Land cleanly to move on; each new pad is a little narrower than the last.

Kill your sideways drift early and high up, then keep the module upright for a slow, straight-down descent — most crashes come from too much horizontal speed at touchdown. Feather the thrust in little pulses to hover and inch toward the pad rather than blasting and stalling. Fuel is scarce, so plan your approach before you burn: a smooth arc costs far less than constant corrections.
