Space Invaders

Space Invaders is the legendary alien-shooter arcade game. Slide your cannon across the base and blast the marching fleet before it drops onto you, dodging the bombs it rains down. Play Space Invaders online free, with no download and no sign-up, on phone or desktop.

How to play

• Move your cannon left and right with the ← → keys, a drag, or the on-screen buttons.
• Press space or the FIRE button to shoot straight up.
• Only one shot flies at a time, so make each one count.
• Hit the aliens for points — the higher rows are worth more.
• Dodge the bombs the fleet drops; a hit costs one of your three lives.
• Clear the whole fleet to advance to a faster wave; the game ends if the fleet lands.

The fewer aliens remain, the faster the whole fleet marches, so the last few can be the trickiest to hit — line up your shots carefully. Clearing a full column from the outside in narrows the fleet and buys you room to dodge. Keep moving between shots and watch for the falling bombs as much as the aliens themselves.
