Star Fighter

Star Fighter is a free online space shooter you can play in your browser with no download and no sign-up. Pilot a neon starfighter through waves of alien attackers, dodge streams of enemy fire, grab power-ups, and blast the boss that guards each level. Fly with a drag of your finger on phone or the arrow keys on desktop.

How to play

• Drag left and right to fly, or steer with the arrow keys or A and D.
• Hold the FIRE button or Space to shoot a steady stream of bullets.
• Dodge enemy bullets and avoid crashing into ships and the boss.
• Collect power-ups: spread shot, rapid fire, a shield, or an extra life.
• Clear every wave, then destroy the boss to advance to a faster level.
• You have three lives — losing them all ends the run.

Keep your ship moving and stay near the bottom of the screen, where you have the most time to read incoming bullet patterns. The spread and rapid-fire power-ups dramatically raise your damage, so grab them whenever they drop and try not to die while they are active. Save a shield for the boss fight, and watch for the telegraph flash that warns you a fan of shots is coming.
