Sea Battle

Sea Battle is the classic Battleship game you can play online for free against the computer. Fire on a hidden 10x10 grid, hunt down the enemy fleet, and sink all five ships before the computer sinks yours. No download and no sign-up — play on phone or desktop.

How to play

• Click a cell on the enemy grid to fire a shot at those waters.
• A hit is marked red, a miss is a small dot.
• A hit lets you keep track of a ship — sink it by hitting every cell it covers.
• The computer fires back at your fleet after each of your shots.
• Sink all five enemy ships before the computer sinks yours to win.

After a hit, fire at the four neighbouring cells to find which way the ship lies, then finish it off in a straight line. Spreading your early shots in a checkerboard pattern covers the board faster, since every ship is at least two cells long and cannot hide between the gaps.
