Mancala

Mancala is one of the oldest board games in the world, free to play online against the computer. Sow seeds around the board, capture from the bot, and gather the most in your store to win. Easy to learn but deeply strategic — no download, no sign-up, on phone or desktop.

How to play

• You own the six bottom pits and the store on your right.
• Tap one of your pits to scoop up its seeds and sow them counter-clockwise, one per pit.
• Always skip the bot's store when sowing, but drop seeds into your own.
• If your last seed lands in your store, you take another turn.
• If your last seed lands in an empty pit of yours, you capture it and the seeds directly opposite.
• When one side empties, the remaining seeds are swept up — the most seeds wins.

Look for moves that end in your store, because a free extra turn lets you chain several sows in a row. Set up captures by emptying a pit that you can land in exactly, and keep an eye on the pit opposite so a full one becomes a big haul.
