FreeCell

FreeCell is the classic solitaire card game where nearly every deal can be solved with skill, free to play online with no download and no sign-up. All 52 cards are dealt face-up, so it is pure strategy. Move the cards, use the free cells wisely, and clear the board on phone or desktop.

How to play

• Every card is dealt face-up across eight tableau columns.
• Tap a card to pick it up, then tap a pile to drop it.
• Build the tableau columns downward in alternating colours (red on black, black on red).
• Use the four free cells at the top left to park one card each as temporary storage.
• Double-tap a card to send it straight to a foundation or an open free cell.
• Build the four foundations up by suit from the ace; finish all four to win.

Free cells are precious — the more you fill, the fewer cards you can move at once, so empty them back onto the tableau whenever you can. Dig out the aces and low cards early, and plan several moves ahead before committing, since a hasty block can strand a whole column.
